Saint Francis of Assisi

Saint Francis of Assisi is a wealthy Italian who abandoned a life of luxury to embrace poverty and nature.He founded the Franciscan friars, dedicated to preaching and helping the poor. Known as the patron saint of animals.Saint Francis of Assisi’s dad was a wealthy and successful silk and cloth merchant,he was a prominent member of the rising middle class, travelling to trade with other people and expecting his son to follow his steps. In saint Frances of Assisi’s 20’s he was in a battle against perugia and was taken to jail for almost a year which sparked his disappointment with his formal life.

My dlo about Phoebe

Today room 7 and I have been learning about 6 people from the bible. We learned about Peter, Paul, Lydia, Priscilla, Aquila, Stephen and Phoebe. The person I chose to write a DLO about was Phoebe. The first thing we had to do for  our DLO was to search up things she/he did back when Jesus was with them. I created a slide and put in some photos and some information for what Phoebe did in her life. The new idea I found out about was to go on Bible.gateway and search up verses about her. The thing I found challenging was doing a DLO under 10-13 minutes because I often finish it in 20 minutes or so. So that was a big upgrade for me. My next step for my DLO was to put in more decorations and more explanations for what they have done.

 

 

 

Scripture Writing

Today room 7 and I have been doing some scripture writing. We had to work in partners to find scripture writings in the Bible. Evan and I found four scripture writings there from Psalms 125:1-2, Isaiah 66:13, John 13:34 and Isaiah 40:29 I am really grateful to do this unusual but fun work to do, and I really hope to do more work that’s related to this. Here is  a picture of our work.
